Quilt Card

Life has been doubly hectic for the last couple of days but I had almost finished this card before then. I saw Nancy Riley's quilt cards on her blog and remembered that I had the very same scraps of this DSP in my stash. I used to make lots of fabric quilts so it was such fun to put this card together - in double quick time compared to a quilt, I must add LOL. Thank you Nancy for sharing your talent with us.

I really love this style of double stitched ribbon and was kind of hoping the new in colour ribbons would be the same. I do like the new ones though and can't wait to get a ribbon club going with them. Actually there are lots of new ribbons including a few new colours in the narrow grosgrain ones. If anyone would like to join a ribbon share with me, please let me know. I was thinking of maybe two metres of each one would be a nice length to have for starters.

Oh If only a real quilt would go together as quickly!! You've reminded me how many I have on the go - oops - card and ink have taken over my crafting time - LOL. Gorgeous quilt card Jean!

Wow! This is so beautiful! It reminds me of the "log cabin" quilt pattern which is one of my favorites. What a great idea...I'll have to give it a go.~ Have a lovely weekend! Hugs from the US, ~Kristin

Jean, this is a gorgeous card!!! I will have to try this out as it's so much easier than sewing the real thing.

Enjoy the new catalogue - I'm just looking through yours and it's curious to see what's there. The hostess sets are a mesh of our last and current catalogues, one of the Easter sets that's in our current Occasions mini is in there, along with one of the ones from the Holiday Mini this past Christmas. Hmmm...

Love the quilted background and how you made the polka dot petals flower into a "stitched" sunflower. Terrific!
