Happy Birthday Wishes

I was blog surfing today and came across this card on Lynn's blog. I couldnt wait to try out this black magic technique again. I have used it lots of times before but never with the white gel pen outline. Doesnt that make the image pop!! Thank you so much Lynn for this great technique and you have lots of other wonderful projects on your blog too to inspire us all.

Trust me, this technique is really easy - I used Prismacolour pencils and black cardstock though you could use any dark coloured card for the background. The main image and background images are from the Stampin' Up! set Live Your Dream which is not available in Australia. The greeting comes from the Fun and Fast Notes set and the patterned paper is from the DS Designer paper series Jersey Shore. All supplies are from Stampin' Up!except for the Prismacolour pencils. You could use any good quality pencils here.

This is gorgeous Jean! You convinced me to get this set too and I never would have thought of using this technique with it - and the white gel pen. A very classy card :)

Wow, I love my white gel pen, but never thought to use it this way. I am going to be off to stamp something very soon to try it myself. You may see it appear on my blog!
Thanks for the great idea!
