Punchie dog

I can't believe how fast the year has flown!! It is nearly my grandson's birthday again. As he will be 3 and will have more things on his mind on his big day than looking at a silly card, I just made this simple one for him using punchie ideas that I have seen whilst browsing.

He will like the fact that I have made a card with "Ro Ro" on it - she is a red cattle dog that is so protective of the boys.

I love Sam's idea of the clouds using the scallop punch - thank you Sam for that tip! The dog is made entirely using Stampin' Up! punches but the little flowers are punched with a tiny non SU punch. The tree also uses the round scallop punch.

The number 3 comes from a retired SU set Brushstroke Alphabet which I can't bear to part with just yet!

CASED Punch Sesame!

I take no credit at all for this card. It is totally CASED except for the greeting tag! It was on someone's blog and I have no idea where - it was made by Sharon Sweet and I loved it so much that I had to make one up - so bright and cheerful. Thank you Sharon for your wonderful idea.

I used seven different Stampin' Up! punches here and used all Bold Bright colours except the green is Wild Wasabi and matches the double stitched ribbon. The greeting stamp comes from the set It's Your Birthday and is stamped with Chocolate Chip.

This would make a fun birthday card for a boy and you could always make the characters look different too.

Our little Monkey!!

My youngest grandie is having his first birthday soon and as his parents call him their little monkey, I took the opportunity to make up a monkey face. I have seen these on several cards and they look so cute!

Actually I had great fun with punches and used seven different ones here. Even the candle flame has been punched and then trimmed. I used the Stampin' Up! Horizontal punch. Other SU punches used were the scallop, square 3.5cms, circles in 3mms, 2.5cms, 1.9cms, and 1.3cms.

The paper for the cupcake comes from the DS Designer paper pack East Coast Prep.

Card: Real Red, Whisper White, Creamy Caramel, Chocolate Chip, Black and Yoyo Yellow
Ink: Whisper White, Close to Cocoa and Real Red
Stamps: Sanded Background, Polka Dots Background and Typeset Upper Alphabet [Retired]

Challenge card with Flower Filled!

Yesterday my upline Karen put me to the challenge of making a card using the sketch of this card which belongs to her friend Nichole. I was determined to try myself out too with another Stampin' Up! colour combo so decided on pink and grey. Then was the problem of what to put with them! It had to be a darker colour so went for the Not Quite Navy. The contrast colour really had me stumped until I remembered a lovely card I saw using the Neighborbood Wheel and my colours. The other colour was More Mustard so I went with it.

I would love to read what others think about this colour combo as I am still not too sure about the mustard in there!

Karen's card can be seen here - lovely as hers always are and such a contrast to mine! This is the interesting thing about sketch challenges - so many different ways of interpreting them!

As I am not sure who originally designed the little basket using the SU round tab punch and the two oval punches, I cannot give them credit but it is such a cute idea! The flowers each have a little faux jewel in their centres.

I have CASEd this card from Paula Goff's site as I was so impressed with another way to use the Word Window punch. Thank you Paula! It was a very quick card to make too.

Here I have used two of the Marvy scalloped punches and two punches from Stampin' Up! The tag slides in the slot - such a nice idea.
