Post It Note Holders

Firstly I say a big thank you to Julia and other girls who have given me an award lately. I appreciate your visits to my blog and hope you gain a little inspiration at times from it. I am most certainly inspired by my blog visits!

As I had some little 2009 calendars to use up sooner rather than later, I made these Post It Note holders and stuck a little calendar to the inside as you can see on the open one in the picture. Once I worked out the measurements to have the actual post it notes sitting snugly, it was easy sailing with my Scor-pal. The elastic hair band holds it all together.

I kept the embellishments fairly flat so if they are carried in a bag for instance, they wont get so tatty.

Various Stampin' Up! DSP, card and colours were used for them. Also felt flowers from the SU Flower Fusion set and fabric flower from the SU Pretties kit were used.

Makeesha's Teabag Gift Folder!

Makeesha has done up a great little tutorial on these cutest of folders on her website and I just had to make one up straight away! I don't have any love note envelopes but that was no problem as Keesh sent an envie template which makes up lovely little envelopes. Thank you so much Keesh for sharing these with us.

I have used the Stampin' Up! set Baroque Motifs and the Apple Cider DSP - two of my favourite SU products at present. The base card is textured Wild Wasabi. I can see me making lots more of these for gifts - will search in Woolies when next in town to see what yummies I can find to fit in the pockets!

Pennant of Friends

At last I have my little pennant finished!! When I was in Brisbane in April and staying with Bethel, we had a lovely day when Louise and Jane came up for a get together! Bethel had organised this little project for each of us as she is enjoying working with fabric and stitching this year.
Jane decided she just couldn't possibly make one - well she had hers finished first and she did way way more stitching on hers than I did. Hers is beautiful as were everyone's and it was just so nice to be sitting at the outdoor table stitching and chatting and eating in between!
Sooooo Bethel, you WILL be proud of me for actually finishing something?? I must admit I had to almost tear the house apart to find a suitable needle!! How sad is that. I DID remember how to make a tassel though - a bit of a miracle.

Cute little boxes and ribbon!

My downline Leigh had these little box kits as Make and Takes at the last team meeting at Karen's. As generous as she is, she sent me not one but two of them so I made them up and thought I would show them off. They are the cutest - easy to assemble and can be decorated in so many different ways! Thank you Leigh for them and now I have the template if I want to make more.

I was making up ribbon packs this morning for my ribbon clubs and these looked just so pretty that I had to take a photo and show them. These packs are each colour of the Stampin' Up! wide grosgrain ribbon and the Double-Stitched ribbon. It is so good to have some of each colour on hand.

I am currently taking names to fill a club for the taffeta ribbon - each will get two metres of each of the eight colours and believe me, the ones I have here are beautiful and so easy to tie! If anyone is interested in having some, please email me .

Saturday's efforts!

Yesterday I spent a lovely day making these projects with a friend in Emerald who is a Kaszazz consultant. There were four of us and although these are very easy projects and very well explained as we went along, it took us a long time to get them done - well I didn't get mine finished there as I wanted to drive home before it got too dark and before there were too many roos on the road. I have an hour's drive to Emerald. We must have chatted and laughed too much instead of doing more work!! Didn't matter - it was all a lot of fun. Poor Michelle had a headache and I couldn't operate the Silent Setter of hers at all so she had to put up with my banging the punch to make the holes. And with you too Kell LOL!!!
The first pics are of the birthday book as you can see. I left mine fairly plainly decorated as I felt the paper was busy enough. The other girls chose striking black and white paper so they were dressing theirs up more with bling etc. The second project is a Flip Memory album and I really do like this one with all its folds and various places to put photos. Very interesting! This photo does not show it off well but it is hard to know how to photograph it.
Sooo it really was a change from stamping away here on my own [not that I really mind] but I hope we can get together for a day again soon.

It all worked out really well as Karen had her quarterly team meeting yesterday and as she is five hour's drive from me, I couldn't justify travelling all that way so I had a fun day to occupy my mind instead of thinking of the fun day the girls were having in Mackay!! Thank you so much Leigh though for sending me one of the Make and Takes that you did there. You are so thoughtful!

Book of Love

My very kind and lovely friend Louise gave me this little book which she names the Book of Love. Isn't it beautiful? It has five painted and covered pages which are all decorated so nicely. Some of the images have been carefully cut out and raised with foam tape and she has used taffeta ribbon and little Prima flowers with bead and brad centres to embellish.
I am not sure what companies make some of the images but there are all Stampin' Up! papers used - from the Enchante DS paper pack that was in the Summer Mini. The lovely background stamp French Flair has been used too.
This is indeed a a treasured book and I display it and change a page from time to time. Thank you so much Louise!!!!
I did not do any crafting today - just caught up on banking, housework and all those kind of dreadful chores! Tomorrow I go to my little grandie's first birthday party so no making cards again. On Saturday I get to make a couple of OTP projects with other girls which will be fun I know!

How spoilt am I!!!!

This is the little calendar that Karen gave me as part of a very special pack of goodies at Convention. It came in a bag that Karen showed on her blog using the Loves Me papers - very lovely!
These little nuggets were all individually decorated and aren't they beautifully presented? Thank you so much Karen for my bag of goodies - I am afraid though that I cannot bring myself to eat these nuggets even though I know they are so yummy. Just want to keep them to admire! Again Karen has used the Loves Me paper from the Summer Mini catalogue along with the stamp from the set called Sweet on You!
There were also other goodies in the bag including a sample of all the Stampin' Up! punches all put on a hinged ring and laminated. This is such a great idea as you can just place the punched out card over whatever and can see just what it will look like before you actually punch!

And there was more! Kim gave me this little decorated bag with lots of different goodies including a decorated pen, little Smarties box and a notepad. I love this stamp set too. It is called In the Spotlight and is a Level 2 hostess set in our new catalogue. Thank you ever so much Kim for everything!

More pics!

Here is a close up of Louise's drawers. Thank you so much Louise for allowing me to share your beautiful projects!

Louise has made this little owl and card using the Stampin' Up! Enchante DS papers from the Summer Mini catalogue! I am guessing that for the owl's eyes, Louise has punched a circle and fringed it - how clever!! These set of papers were beautiful too but sadly now retired.

Home again!

I came home yesterday after my week with Bethel. We had a great time together with lots and lots of chatting of course, a wee time in the Gyrlie Shed, some time shopping, another full day with Louise and Jane and on Saturday we drove to the Gold Coast and shopped and then visited Louise for the afternoon. Time went all too fast that is for sure. It is always great to catch up with good friends - thank you so much Bethel for giving me such a fun time as always.

Whilst visiting Louise, we spent some time in her stamping room which is so beautifully set up. This photo is of her set of wooden drawers that she has decorated using the Stampin' Up! Au Chocolat DS papers that were in the Summer Mini catalogue. Note too that she has covered the two boxes with the same paper. Isn't it all so lovely??

So this is yet another way of using those yummy DS papers from the catalogue and this year we have more choice than ever! I have ordered a few sets and I must say that the colours are much more alive than they look in the catalogue - just gorgeous!

Box gift

I have the shortbread made and now this is one of the boxes that I am using to package it up for gifts. Very quick and easy! Just used a Stampin' Up! wheel to stamp the sides and stamped out a poinsettia from a PSX stamp for the top. Embossed it in black and added some Diamond Glaze and gold glitter glue.

I will give one to my parents together with a gift voucher card - I have bought them a home delivery subscription to the newspapers they like to read. Think they will love that.

Well no more Christmas cards getting made for this year. It will be nice to go on to different things now. I have twenty three sample cards to make for the construction technique swap I joined and four ATCs to make for a challenge swap so most certainly have plenty to keep me occupied.

Then there is making the list of what Stampin'Up! goodies I need in January. I am guessing that lots of other people are doing the exact same thing!

HAPPY CHRISTMAS everyone!!

Pinwheel magnet

Well it seems I have the bug for using paper lately - as Bethel says, no use sitting in a stash somewhere! Hard for me to cut into it though.

Here again is another use for those lovely Stampin' Up! punches. I have used three different ones here - the small tag one for the flower and two of the circle ones.

The green and blue paper from the Petals and Paisleys DS paper pack is my least liked so thought using it this way would break it up a bit. I love the blue spot side and these two combine really well.

Karen very kindly parted with a few of her jumbo paper clips so I put one to good use here. I have a magnet strip on the back and so it is great to put on the fridge to hold small notes, shopping lists etc.

I punched and folded ten tags for the flower petals. As this paper is nice and thick, to make a neat first fold, I used my Scor-Pal. I then stamped and punched the greeting from SU Riveting set on Old Olive, then stamped and punched the heart from another stamp in the same set, on Tempting Turquoise and raised it with Dimensionals.

Don't forget that this paper is only available until the end of the month so if you wish to order a pack, please email me in the next couple of days as from Sunday on, I will be busy or away for a few days.

Calendar coaster

These are just so simple to make up and would make great little gifts. I have a magnet strip on the back so it can be placed on the fridge or filing cabinet but you could also punch holes at the top and hang with ribbon.

I have used the lovely Stampin' Up! double sided paper Petals and Paisleys which is in the current mini catalogue. There is only until the end of the month though to order it though so not much time left to get some!

Supplies - chipboard coaster, SU Spring Flower Bouquet punch

Stamps: Looks Like Spring from SU

Ink: SU Tempting Turquoise and Pretty in Pink

Bagalope

Here is one of the little gift bags I am making for the girls who are coming to my little stamping arvo on the weekend. I will change a couple of little things for the next ones I make. It is made simply from an ordinary card sized envelope.

I wheeled the envelope using a retired Stampin' Up! wheel Cool, which I love! I then scored it using my new Scor-Pal. This board is the most wonderful invention for perfect scoring for cards and anything but cards LOL.

It is just soo easy to use and is 12 by 12 inches square so you don't have to move your paper to score several lines. This makes for perfect folding and lining up. The Scor-pal can be orderd from this site Kazmos Kreationz which is in Australia! Karen is so very helpful and can answer any queries you have promptly.

All supplies from Stampin' Up!

Card: Regal Rose, Rose Red

Ink: Regal Rose, Whisper White

Stamps: Terrific Tags, Small Pieces and Cool Stampin' Around Wheel [retired]
