A small one today

This ATC is what I made for a SuperLotto entry on an overseas ATC group. It was an open theme so easy peasy for me to think flowers LOL. I firstly used a rollagraph paint splatter wheel inked in Stampin' Up! Mustard on the vanilla background, then inked the flowers with markers and misted before stamping them. The SU French Script text is stamped in black and the wording Imagine is stamped on vellum.

The bee is from the SU set In Full Bloom and I have used embossing markers on him and glitter for his wings.

The Stampin' Up! vanilla cardstock is such a lovely card to work with. One of my friends wanted vanilla card that wasnt more of a yellow colour as many are, so I was happy when she reported that she loved her new Very Vanilla cardstock.

Challenge ATCs

For this challenge, each player was given four different square images and four base kraft cards. We have to use at least 50% of each picture and make that our focal point on the ATC.

For the sunflower one, I simply left the picture untouched, mounted it on chipboard and covered it with Opals Franklin. It is lovely and shiny!. I made the background by first brushing the kraft card with Gesso and then by using different solid shaped stamps with Colorbox chalk inks. The blue border is a stamp from Andstamps and the wording is from the Stampin' Up! set Delight in Life.

For the Pyramids card, I cut the background off the picture of the pyramid and placed a black triangle behind to accentuate the pyramid more against the background. For this, I stamped and gold embossed the text stamp on white card, then sponged with Colorbox chalk inks. I stamped the letter with SU Ruby Red and cut it out and mounted it over the top.

So now two more to go - I have left the hardest until last LOL!!

We had 24 mls of VERY welcome rain last night but sadly it seems to be leaving us now. So the garden does not need water today so more time to stamp. How I love that.

Innocence!

Here is another ATC! I seem to go in fits of making certain types of cards!! I have always enjoyed the challenge of making ATCs and they are a great way of using up small pieces of card and paper.
The background here is Basic Grey paper with a black strip of card stuck on the side. Both the small and bigger flower are punchies with bling in the centres. The tiny clear "jewels" are actually meant to stick on fingernails LOL but are perfect for this sized flower!
The little girl stamp is from Collections - an Aussie company and the wording is from Lucys Stamps - again an Aussie company!!
Tomorrow I am going away for three days so no computer or stamping - how will I survive!!

Christmas ATC

I thought I would make a few ATCs to send to my overseas friends for Christmas greetings. It is hard to see here but the girl is actually stamped on to white mulberry paper which is then glued to the background.
The swirls from Stampin' Up! Scribble This are gold embossed and the brads were coloured with Sharpies to match the letters.
These letters come from an unmounted alphabet set which a very dear friend sent me in a care package! Hi Louise!!! Oh she also gave me the set containing the little girl stamp as she knew I loved it - how nice is that.

Winter Wonderland

As I am still working on my pink cards, I will show this ATC that I made for a swap last year. Again it uses my favourite Stampin' Up! set!!

The little glittered snowflake was made by punching it out of double sided sticky paper and glittering one side.

As well as using the Stampin' Up Lovely as a Tree set, the snowflakes are from Lucys Stamps and the wording is from Stampin' Up! I am not sure which blue inkpads were used.

Oriental ATC

I have been making some ATCs for the last couple of days for different things in groups and here is one I have made for a return RRAK. The left side of the background is stamped on white tissue paper with chalk ink and then overstamped with the wording.

The little teacups are raised on foam tape and there is a faux jewel on the main image. These sort of cards take me way way out of my comfort zone but I like doing them for the challenge and it makes me think way more about what to use for backgrounds and embellishments.

Another ATC

Bethel!! I made this ATC especially to show you so dont forget to look hahaha!! I have painted the background with acrylic paints, then stamped on the scroll from the Stampin'Up! Scribble This set.

The blue flowers are punched from tissue paper and the mauve flower is from Stampin'Up! Delight in Life set. The word "smile" is from Papertrey.

For the month of August, Stampin' Up! is offering a free set worth $53.95 to hostesses whose party bookings are $600 or more. These are in addition to the usual awards. There is a choice of three sets to pick from so that is a great incentive.

Also you can now order from the new mini catalogue. If anyone would like one, please contact me - I have a few left! It has some very tempting things in it!

Coffee and Cream colours!

This is an ATC which was a very quick one to make in between phone calls today. There are three of Stampin' Up!s big background stamps used here and the wording is from a set of words designed by Bethel here in Australia and put out by Lucys Stamps. It has been punched out with the word window punch and then the piece has been put back through to shorten it.

Card: Bazzill and patterned paper
Inks: SU Close to Cocoa and Barely Banana
Stamps: Harlequin background from SU Looks Like Spring, SU Fine Lace, French Script and Canvas on the folded paper. Word Beauty by Lucys Stamps Company here in Queensland.

more ATCs

These are two of the ATCs I am sending overseas for a Travel Around the World Exhibition. The map is coloured with Prisma pencils and the orchids have Dimensional Magic on them so they look raised and shiny.
For anyone who doesnt know, these are Cooktown orchids - a native orchid which grows in the north of Queensland and is our State's floral emblem.

Goldie

I havent felt like any card making this week - it has been so dreadfully and unusually cold here. Today the wind has settled down and it is a beautiful afternoon of 18 degrees C right now. As I have made nothing new to show, here is an ATC which I made as a swap for a Paper Arts Show in Melbourne last year.

IRL, it looks like the goldfish is actually floating and looks very pretty. He is stamped on acetate and painted from behind with Pentel Brush Markers which are water resistant once dry.

Hope everyone has a good weekend and I hope to be able to show something more in the next couple of days.

I have some of the latest Stampin' Up! Spring Mini catalogues with some very yummy sets, punches and papers so if anyone wants to order, please let me know! We can order from them until the 30th November.

My Challenge ATC

This is not such a good scan but I have no camera for now! This is an ATC for a challenge in a group. We were given the transparency with the stamped silhouette image and we have to produce an ATC using whole or part of the transparency and a button on it somewhere.
To make this card, I put glitter glue on the back of the transparency over the rose and the wings, then when dry, I covered the back with Diamond Glaze and sprinkled some glitter around. I scrunched up some coloured rice paper and flattened it out and stuck it to the image. Then stuck this all to a green card and cut it out.
Can't see it in the scan but the background card is stamped with Stampin' Up! French Script in black. Then the image is stuck to
the backing card and I added the dymo wording and the Prima flower with the weeniest of buttons in the middle!
Now I have to make another nine of these but they really don't take too long to do.

Home again!

I enjoyed the week with my little grandsons but didnt get any stamping done! Now it is way too cold to do any. It is 10 degrees C here and the maximum for the day - unusual for our neck of the woods but it is so bleak and windy that understandably it is cold!

Thought I would show a couple of the lot of ATCs that I made recently.

Some of the images are by Stampin' Up!

ATC in Red

I had to make an ATC for a swap in the theme of "Red".
I used the Cuttlebug Embossing folder - D'vine Swirls and painted silver brads with a Sharpie pen to get the colour I wanted.
The little girl image is part of a stamp from Paperbag Studios.
The red french wording is French Script from Stampin' Up! and the word Sweet is from Stampin' Up! Sweet Spot set.
We are at present having the most welcome rain even though it is turning cold. Our last rain was in early March so it has been very dry and dusty. So far we have had 34 mls and I dont think it has finished yet. Beautiful!!
