Sketchy Colors #202

I love this birds image which I am fairly positive I downloaded from The Graphic Fairy site. The sketch came from Sketchy Colors #202. It is a nice sketch and can be used in lots of ways.

The DSP is from Pion Design and the base card is Stampin' Up! Naturals White. I did have some trouble matching the DSP to cardstock I had and am still not too happy with my choice but it is the best I could find. It is Stampin' Up! Perfect Plum. There are just so many shades of purple out there but I never seem to have the one that really suits! I dyed the seam binding with Tim Holtz Distress pad Dusty Concord and found it was too bright for the paper so mixed some TH Tattered Rose Distress stain with it to tone it down.

The leaves are punched with a Martha Stewart punch, the wording comes from a Stampin' Up! hostess set called Simply Sketched.

Beautiful card with a great image. I think that the purple color you got on seam binding
was nice. Great take on the sketch, liked the way you've decorated your card.
Thank you for participating in Sketchy Colors, good luck.
