Vintage Christmas

I am really loving the Vintage Christmas look this year and also how simply and quickly these cards can be put together as Christmas cards. My lovely friend Sharon in the US makes gorgeous cards with papers and images such as these and I always admire her work.

The biggest struggle I had with this one was trying to find ribbon to match the colours. I ended up by dying some antique gold silk ribbon with SU Rust re-inker. It needed to be darker still but I feel it does look OK here. I stamped the word on the image with a little stamp from the SU set Merry Crittermas [which is not available in Australia].

Stamps: SU Merry Crittermas
Ink: SU Chocolate Chip
Card: SU Chocolate Chip, White and Kaisercraft 'Tis The Season paper
Other: Journal Notes image, May Arts silk ribbon and Kaisercraft rhinestones

This is a gorgeous card! I love the big sized ribbon ... beautiful. In response to your question regarding seam binding - I buy mine in 100 yard spools from "Zipperstop" on ebay. I don't know if they mail to AU. I hope that helps! (And thanks for your kind words.)
