I had this image sitting around all coloured in and decided this was the opportunity to use it on something! This sketch is Karen Giron's SSSC#76 and is a great one - I would rather make rectangular cards but did not want to cut down this image any more. It is one from Flourishes - I just love sweet peas - rarely see them these days but can still remember the beautiful perfume and colours of Mum's all those years ago.
Originally I had Stampin' Up! Blush Blossom as the base card but decided it was too insipid so have used Pale Plum instead. With all the ribbon I have in my stash, this was the only colour that went anywhere near the flower colours but not the sort of ribbon I had in mind! I have coloured the flowers with Prismacolor pencils and blending stump. Other card colours used are Whisper White and Kraft. The wording comes from a little SU set that was given to me and the pearls are from Kaisercraft. I have used a bit of glitter on the flowers too.

Jean, this is such a pretty card. I love sweet peas too and remember Mum growing some when I was young.
A sweet card. I wish I could color. Everyone's stamped, colored images look so nice. I really should have paid more attention in kindergarten.
Thanks for sharing your card, it is really pretty.
What a pretty floral image and colored to perfection! Gorgeous!
ooh this brings back memories of sweet peas traiing over my grandma's fence - I might have to try and grow some this Spring! Beautiful card Jean - and thanx for the memories!

Wow this is so pretty, love the colors and your coloring of the image is great.
Devine work yet again Jean! How do you keep up this standard?
I love this image from Flourishes and you colored it beautifully. I think that ribbon is perfect and matches the flowers so well. Beautiful card! Best, Curt
