Update!

So many people have been in contact with me since my last post!! Thank you so much one and all for all your wishes etc. I am happy to report now that Ian is making little steps forward in his recovery!! Today he had his feeding tube and tracheostomy out which means that the staff are confident that his breathing is good and that he can swallow food. He has now spoken his wife's name which must have been music to her ears. We are all very excited about his progress though we are still very much aware that there probably will be a few bad times here and there.

I have just come home from a wonderful few days at SU Convention!! Well it was wonderful apart from the first night in the hotel when the fire alarm went off and we had to evacuate twice and stand out in the street in our pjs or whatever we had time to pull on. The more or less sleepless night did not make the next day a very bright one but we took in all the talks and presentations AND swapping! That was fun and we were rid of all our swaps in less than an hour.

Each night we went out to dinner at a different venue and what great company we had!! It was such fun. The Convention dinner on the Saturday night was just so good - little surprises along the way too including a lovely stamp set for everyone. I love it - greetings which can be punched out with our different SU punches.

I really enjoyed every bit of Convention this time - there were a lot of first time Convention goers and everyone was so friendly. Just not enough time to be able to chat to everyone we knew! Never mind - it is a three day Convention next year and I just hope I will be able to go. I really like Melbourne - so many things to see and transport is so easy to find.

Now to get my feet back on the ground, tidy up my craft room and tuck into making some cards with my new stamp sets!

Glad to hear the positive news Jean...and glad that you got to go to convention for a bit of much needed R & R! (apart from the fire alarm that is ..that must have been awful!) I am amused to hear your comments about Melbourne's public transport-I think it is terrific too (especially compared to Sydney) but Melbournians do nothing but whinge about how rotten it is!!

Jean, that's brilliant news about Ian. Didn't we have a wonderful time in Sydney...yep except for the evacuating twice in one night.
All set for Melbourne.

How wonderful to hear the good news regarding your brother Jean! I know he still has a long way to go but it still must be a huge relief. You are always in my thoughts, Love Leanne.
