Today I made up four cards all using the same little punched lion but different layouts, paper and wordings! Kim Score had this lion on an easel card on her blog and he looked so cute! I don't have the Fancy Flower punch to make his mane so I used my scallop Nestablilities and he still turned out looking OK. Thank you Kim for being so clever and showing us how to make up this lion.The new two step bird punch in the next Stampin' Up! mini is such a versatile one - here I have used the bird's wing and the branch stem for the lion's tail!
The first card uses SU DSP,ribbon, punches and card, Nestabilities and Annabelles Sprinkles. The second card uses Basic Grey DSP, SU card, ribbon, wording, punches and Top Note Die, and Nestablilities.
I have found a few more ideas for using the SU bird punch - great to be able to use these punches for different themes.

Jean, this is adorable. I have a friend who is wanting me to make birthday invitation for her son's upcoming 1st birthday and the theme is lion, so this would be perfect. thank you so much for sharing this and the link that provides instructions. Just wonderful.
