ANZAC Day

Today is a very important day for Australia. It marks the anniversary of the very significant military action which took place during World War I. ANZAC stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps and today we remember all our past and present soldiers and especially those who have fought hard and long for our country in the past wars.

They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

LEST WE FORGET

I'm from Seattle; after two weeks traveling around beautiful Australia, we boarded a cruise ship in Sydney and sailed to Honolulu. We now have many Aussie friends and while on the ship we joined in the ANZAC Day remembrance ceremony.
