House Mouse Confetti Rain

Not sure why I used the colours I did here but I found this lovely DS paper in my stash so went with the colours there - they are my favourite shades - purples and blues!

I used the #214 card sketch on SCS and my square Nestabilities and a Cuttlebug embossing folder The little heart is raised up with Dimensionals and I used four Stampin Up circle punches for the wording circles.

Card: SU Tempting Turquoise and Lavender Lace, non SU white and DS patterned paper
Ink: Colorbox chalk Chestnut Roan, Warm Violet and Prisma pencils
Stamps: Stampabilities HM Confetti Rain and Stampin' Up! Riveting

It seems that news of our dreadful natural disasters here is being spread all over the world. I wish to thank all the girls overseas who have emailed with concern for me and my family. We are in a lucky part of the country right now in Central Queensland - the floods are well to the north of us in Queensland and the bushfires are right down in Victoria. Those fires have been fueled too by temperatures of up to 117 degrees F and hot gale winds - people just didn't have enough warning to escape.

I am still trying to get in touch with friends who live just north of Melbourne - I think they are safe but am still concerned. To think that some of those fires have been deliberately lit too. There have been some amazing survival stories but so many have lost their lives - in some cases whole families - soooo very sad.

Jean, So glad to hear you are safe. It's a disaster what's happening especially with the fires. Yesterday I heard that there were possibly almost 400 intentionally set. Mindboggling.
Let me just add, I love this card and those gorgeous colors. You are a true inspiration. Take care of yourself and your family.

Yes we have been keeping up with the news coming from your country, its such a terrible loss and now we are hearing that alot of fires were set deliberatley, as if the fires weren't bad enough to start with, so bad words escape me. I hope that you hear from your friends soon x
