Birthday Rose

I had an order for a card using a rose stamp and the colours pink and lavender so here is what I made!

The rose is stamped on watercolour paper and coloured with watercolour crayons. The background of course has been run through my Big Shot with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.

The scalloped circle is punched with the new Stampin' Up! Scallop punch which is in our new catalogue. It co ordinates beautifully with the circle punches and is just so handy for many different projects.

I have put glitter glue on the rose and on the wording and it wasn't quite dry when I took the photo so doesnt look the best. The colours are also not as bright as they appear here.

Only four more sleeps until I leave for Brisbane! I even had a test run of the alarm on my phone as I have to get up in the dark to catch an early plane and what a disaster if I miss that plane!! The airlines are very very strict now too with their check in times - just a few minutes past the deadline and they will not let you through.

Thank you to all who left me kind words about my loss of Jess. It is lovely to know there are people out there who genuinely care about animals and can understand my feelings for her.

A very lovely card. The Cuttlebug is a fun tool. I can't wait to get my scallop punch - seen so many cards using it now.
Have a wonderful time at Convention.
