Wintery Trees

I saw this technique on SCS and loved the card so much that I had to try it for myself. Many thanks to the person who gave me the inspiration! It was also a good opportunity to use some of my silver cord - I have more than enough to hang myself twelve times over!! And another opportunity to use my favourite set!

In short, to make this card, on a piece of matte white card, stamp and emboss the trees in white [I added a bit of sparkly EP over them too but it is hard to see here].

Then use a circle mask for the moon [but make it smaller than I have here LOL!!]. Using a sponge, sponge light and dark colours all over until you are happy with the effect. Take a tissue and wipe over the trees - they will all come up white again.
Add the greeting and layer as desired.

Karen is going to try the same technique using different colours so I cant wait to see what she comes up with! I bet it will be sooo nice.

Card: Night of Navy, Bashful Blue and Whisper White
Ink: Bashful Blue and Night of Navy, Versamark
Stamps: Stampin' Up! Lovely As A Tree and Warmest Regards

Hi Jean - will definately be onto that card when I get myself a decent sponge thing! lol From my experience today, daubers just don't cut it!!
If I can produce a card half as gorgeous as this one I will be one happy girl!!
